The coaching business is crowded. Everyone and anyone is claiming to be a coach.

Buyer beware. Coaching is not a paint by numbers exercise where anyone can do it without the proper training.  I implore you to perform due diligence.

I digress. Back to the point I was about to make.

In spite of the hundreds of thousands of so called “coaches” available, other coaches are not my biggest competitor.

Most prospects who decide to not enroll with me don’t necessarily choose another coach over me to go after their endgame. It happens. But not as often as you’d might think.

You know who is my biggest competitor?

No decision.

That’s right. The prospect decides to live in the world of status quo and do nothing.

I can’t tell you how many times people have contacted me looking for a coach and they either don’t respond to emails, phone calls, or texts for a consultation. Or, following a consultation they decide to “think about it.”

Think about it is an excuse that’s code for they’re not ready to make the sweat equity and financial commitment required to achieve their endgame.

So, what ends up happening?

They go through life going through the motions:

These people search for the answers through self help books, videos, online articles, etc. etc. etc. and do nothing.

For some reason, status quo is easier than commitment to change.

One of my favorite songs is by Matthew West titled “The Motions.” I love the following lyric:

I don’t wanna spend my whole life asking
What if I had given everything
Instead of going through the motions?

This is your one shot. Life is not a dress rehearsal.

If your living in the land of status quo, what’s the payoff for you to continue to put off moving forward?

Stop going through the motions and get busy working towards your endgame.
